ZoomIt is a free utility

Windows Screen Presentation Utility

If you ever do presentations or demos or Tutorials where you are displaying your screen to others, a really useful feature is the ability to mark up or write directly on your screen to draw attention to certain areas. While a lot of commercial programs offer this functionality, a lightweight alternative which does basically the same thing is ZoomIt.

ZoomIt is a free utility which allows you to capture an image of your screen (via customizable hot-keys) and in real time, draw, type or zoom directly on the captured screen image. The really handy part is the capture process is seamless as no external program is opened. By pressing ESC you "unfreeze" the screen and all the markup disappears. This is extremely handy for doing presentations, especially if you use a tablet PC.

ZoomIt also offers a timer function where your computer can have a countdown. This would be useful if you wanted to do a presentation with interactive user exercises.

Either way, this is an extremely handy utility which doesn’t even need to be installed to run. Just double click it and go.

ZoomIt works on all versions of Windows and you can use pen input for ZoomIt drawing on tablet PCs

Using ZoomIt

The first time you run ZoomIt it presents a configuration dialog that describes ZoomIt's behavior, let's you specify alternate hotkeys for zooming and for entering drawing mode without zooming, and customize the drawing pen color and size. I use the draw-without-zoom option to annotate the screen at its native resolution, for example. ZoomIt also includes a break timer feature that remains active even when you tab away from the timer window and allows you to return to the timer window by clicking on the ZoomIt tray icon.

I have Proof of error occuring after May 26th 2007 !~!

May 29, 2007 10:44 AM by Discussion: WinCustomize Site Issues
On May 26/2007 I made a comment at this page WWW Link
The date is correct.

mrscope replied to my comment on my page after May 26th WWW Link

The date changed to Jan 1, 001 on my page. It also puts that comment near the bottom of the page. As you can see this has occurred with several other posts but I did not capture the exact dates that it occurred so was not able to report it.

This error occurs only with some users.

I have included screenshots taken today in my photo album on my personal page to make sure that it is captured, in case others do not see what I do.

Simply wanted to report this ongoing issue

There have been many posts on this site regarding skinning both the OS & modding the computer itself. This article from PC World shows a whole new take on new & different computer systems. The annual Bill Gates design contest makes you think twice about what a computer should look like.
I like the Zeed+ for the Future....not sure how well it would work....but it would make my desktop look great ...and ahem...its Canadian

Which one do you like?

Security researchers have found a "highly critical" flaw in the portable-network graphics plug-in for the latest version of Adobe Systems’ Photoshop Creative Suite, as well as for other versions of the software that run on Windows.

The portable-network graphics, or PNG, plug-in vulnerabilities were discovered in Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite 3 (CS3), Photoshop CS2, and Adobe Photoshop Elements (Editor) version 5.0 for Windows, according to a report released Monday by Secunia, which cited a researcher named "Marsu" with the discovery. Marsu tested a public exploit against versions of the software running Windows XP SP2.

The security flaw affects Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite 3, as well as CS2, according to a security advisory issued by Secunia on Wednesday

The report indicates that Adobe is aware of of the issue & investigating it. It also indicates that so far Secunia has yet to detect any malicious use of the code.

All Windows XP & Vista using IE7

Apr 3, 2007 11:36 AM by Discussion: Community
This flaw has been discussed in another thread but I posted this here to make sure everyone see this ...find that post HERE

And HERE

A patch is offered by Microsoft this Tuesday because of increased attacks. One source of attacks includes an e-mail claiming to be a beta of IE7 as well as more than 100 web pages that are serving up a new worm that has been spreading in China, according to Symantec.

A link must be clicked on in order for this to work but IMHO everyone should install this update

This does not affect FireFox 2.0.0.3
